• Blot spills immediately, using a dry, un-dyed cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much liquid as possible. For hard-to-remove stains, clean with a mixture of mild soap or detergent and water.
• Shake out dirt and debris or use a vacuum cleaner without a beater brush to avoid damage.
• Sprouting may occur, in which loose jute fibers poke up out of the rug surface. Do not pull any loose yarns. Simply clip them with scissors to be even with the pile height.
• Use of a rug pad recommended to prevent slipping and sliding. Rug pads preserve the life of your rug, protecting it from wear and tear.
• Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Rotate or reposition your rug every few months to promote even surface wear. Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening.
